Willcox Matthews New Years’ Resolutions

Willcox Matthews New Years’ Resolutions – Our company achievements and goals!

As the year is drawing to a close, the Directors have been asked to reflect on their year in Willcox Matthews and how they think the company has done.

The Directors have also each written a goal that they wanted to achieve this year and one that they would like to set for 2022.

A Goal we wanted to achieve in 2021:

  • To build a cohesive and successful team, giving Willcox Matthews a good foundation for further growth.

Not only have we achieved this goal, but we have exceeded it! We’ve brought on three new members of the team, a Trainee/Graduate Consultant, Adam Ali, who had recently finished university and who has worked really hard since joining the team. Adam has become what we would describe as a “Model Trainee” he has really set the standards high for all new Trainee/Graduate Consultants coming on board.

Kayleigh Tipper has (very recently) joined the team as a Recruitment Consultant, and she is coming on in leaps and bounds! She managed to survive the Christmas party after only a week in the office, so Kayleigh clearly isn’t scared of taking on any challenges we throw her way!

We have also taken on an Office Manager, Georgina Harrington, who has been superb in organising us (all of us would happily admit our organisational skills could be better), reducing our time spent on administration, managing our social media accounts, and generally keeping Willcox Matthews running smoothly.

A Goal we want to achieve in 2022:

  • Maintain strong trajectory for growth within the team, moving into a larger premises to accommodate more team members and solidify the company as a market leader within technical and engineering recruitment.

A Goal we wanted to achieve in 2021:

  • A big goal of ours was to win 10 retained or exclusive recruitment assignments. We’ve successfully hit this goal having secured 5 Retained agreements and 8 Exclusivity agreements.

A Goal we want to achieve for 2022:

–        Growth is a big part of our plans for the next 3-5 years. For our next year we are looking to hire 4 new employees, ranging from Administration to Senior Consultant level within the business.

A Goal we wanted to achieve in 2021:

  • After the lockdown and recruitment freezes during 2020 / 2021 the main aim for me was to ensure our staff were stable and secure in their roles. This was achieved by reducing costs during lockdown as much as possible, as well as reducing Director’s salaries to preserve money in the business until we were all back up and running. Thankfully the recruitment market experienced a sharp upturn and we all got back to where we were quickly.

A Goal we want to achieve for 2022:

  • The upturn in recruitment has been extremely welcoming for us and beating out first 3 years annual targets is the main money goal but as a business we are bringing on several staff and ensuring they succeed and are happy is my main target.

With the New Year seeing lots of new starts for the company this could be a very exciting year for the company, there are plans to expand in more ways than one, so watch this space!!

Mainly we wish everyone the Happiest of Holiday’s and all the best for the New Year!
