Moulding Technician
Responsibilities:
- To carry out mould, material and colour changes in accordance with health and safety procedures.
- Checking the quality and output from moulding machines, ensuring machines are producing to the required quality at the required output speeds.
- To troubleshoot processing, material and machine faults.
- To monitor and adjust automation machinery.
- To complete and maintain inspection records, shift records and associated administration in accordance with the companies Quality systems.
- To maintain a high level of housekeeping in the production area in accordance with 5S policy of the company.
- To ensure all duties are performed within the health and safety policies of the company including the identification and reporting of hazards. Also, the completion of risk assessments and safety walks.
- To take an active role in identifying and implementing continuous improvements within the organisation.
- To assist and support the Shift Team Leader in all aspects of their role.
- Training and development of new and existing staff.
About You:
Essentials
- Must have hands on experience of the polymer injection moulding process.
- Polymer
- PTIC level 2 or 3 qualification would be an advantage but not essential.
- Must be diligent in the completion of regular tasks, and flexible to the needs of the business.
- Must have excellent communication skills at all levels of the business
Desirable attributes
- Forklift licence and experience.
- Robot programming experience.
- Experience in the use of basic Windows Office software, Outlook, Word, Excel etc.
