Mechanical Test Technician
Responsibilities:
- Building and developing prototypes and pre-production assemblies for test
- Developing test methods and jigs and fixtures
- Testing complex electromechanical assemblies and scientific instruments
About You:
- Proven practical experience of high-tech assembly and test (preferably within a regulated environment such as medical/pharmaceutical or aerospace)
- Ability to fabricate various components using a wide range of materials and mechanical equipment, utilising; metal working, soldering and 3D printing skills
- Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical / electronic drawings and to follow these to assemble the required product
- Experience of using mechanical and electronic measurement equipment
- Good understanding of materials and manufacturing processes
- Strong analytical/problem solving skills
- Good report writing skills including conclusions and recommendations
- Experience in working with multi-disciplinary teams
- Rigorous attention to detail combined with a creative approach to problem solving
- Good communication skills (written & verbal)
- A desire to help and support your fellow team members
