IT Support Technician
Responsibilities:
- Perform prioritised day-to-day operations such as solving computer problems on PC/Mac, peripherals, printers, software and phones. Liaising with external contractors as required.
- Perform setup and configuration of computers and laptops for users. Including installing software and configuring as requested by the end user.
- Assist management with long term upgrade projects to develop business systems
- Provide support to users via the telephone and via remote access software for the UK. (50 users over 3 sites)
- A good customer orientated manner is required with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Maintain IT related documentation including asset registers, equipment logs, the IT support task lists and licencing summaries.
- PC Support, Windows 7, Windows 10, Windows 11, MS Office, providing remote support, Active Directory
- Basic knowledge of common networking protocols
- Experience of supporting Hyper-V would be useful, but is not essential.
- Understanding of the ITIL framework
About You:
Experience required
- knowledge of Windows computers, Experience of Windows programs such as Microsoft Office, Sage, Bartender etc.
- A basic knowledge of networking.
- A good methodical approach to fault finding and diagnosis.
