IT Specialist
Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for the daily management of the company intranet
- Troubleshooting systems when required
- You will continuously do Project work to improve systems and processes
- You will work alongside other technicians who are responsible for the hardware / software packages / internet
- Custom Report building (and changes) for management
- Utilise Opensource effectively i.e., PHPEXCEL.
- Working with our business systems (SAGE 1000 ERP, Autostore WMS, Epicor Mattec MRP)
- The business is operated from pre-dominantly two sites warehousing and manufacturing using a bespoke Intranet built on PHP framework.
About You:
- Good understanding of MSSQL and MySQL. phpMyAdmin
- Object Oriented programming skills (PHP CSS, HTML, jQuery,) are essential
- Working knowledge of Linux (CentOS 6 ideally)
- Ability to work with legacy software as part of the day-to-day duties.
- Previous experience with migrating legacy systems (custom EDI, extranets etc),
- Exposure to managing and improving an intranet would be beneficial.
- Exposure to the general principles of how a manufacturing business works would be beneficial
- Ability to reverse engineer code to source data
